The Open Banking Implementation Entity was created by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority to establish software standards and industry guidelines that drive competition and innovation in UK retail banking.

Shoot You were asked to produce video and animation content to support the government’s 2018 Open Banking initiative. This involved coordinating a series of in-depth interviews with key people within ten of the challenger banks, at various locations across the UK. The videos are used on the Open Banking website to inform viewers how apps and websites are transforming the world of money.

Overview

The revolution in Fintech has meant a series of 'challenger banks' have risen to take on the big four traditional 'bricks and mortar' banks. Open Banking came to us to help create a series of videos to support the media launch of this initiative. The whole campaign of four videos had to be filmed and edited within a week, so three crews went to the separate banks to interview key personnel and record b-roll. The resulting videos have an engaging pace and contemporary feel to accompany the initiative.
