Almost 60 million people are forcibly displaced worldwide. To raise awareness of how the European Union provides humanitarian help to refugees around the world, we produced a social media video for World Refugee Day. As this day coincided with the European football championship, we felt we would reach a larger audience by tying the two themes together in the video.
With the help of Marouane Fellaini and Anja Mittag, Synima produced a football themed video, involving real refugees.
This video we produced attracted over 10 million views and is the most-watched Commission video.
